Academy Meals

If your child is attending school full-time they will be staying for lunch-time. Please ensure you make arrangements for their lunches.

Paid school meals

At Lime Academy Watergall we are a cashless system  where school dinner money can be paid online or at shops with the PayPoint sign. Parents will receive receive a letter that will include a username and password for the online payments and a bar code for shop payments. School accounts must be in credit for your child to receive a school meal. As a school we would suggest that you pay at least one week in advance to keep the account in credit. If your child’s account falls below £8.00 (4 meals) you will receive a text alerting you of this.

If your child’s account falls below zero (£0.00) you will receive a text advising you of this and you should bring in a packed lunch as we will not provide a school meal to your child.

Online payments take 24hours to show on the account, shop payments take 3 days, so please allow for this when arranging payments.

School meals are ordered via Arbor and this allows parents to select from our range of delicious weekly meals for their child(ren). Parents can view the termly menus on Arbor. Meals should be booked 7 days in advance to ensure that children receive the meal of their choice.

Free School Meals

If you are in receipt of Income Support or Jobseeker’s Allowance you may be entitled to apply for Free School Meals for your child.  Cambridgeshire County Council, Education Welfare Benefits Service is the Free School Meal (FSM) entitlement provider for our school.

If you would like to apply for your child, making an application is quick and simple to do using this online application form, selecting “no” when asked if you have had a previous claim.

Alternatively you can collect a paper application form from the school office.  Once completed, these can be returned to the school office for checking.

Please note that we are unable to provide your child with a free school meal until we have received written confirmation from the Local Authority.

In 2013 the Government introduced the universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) grant, which enables schools to provide free school meals to all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

Check with your local authority here to see if your child qualifies for free school meals.
