The School Day
The school day is from 8:45am to 3.25pm each weekday in term time.
Please ensure that children arrive in school for the start of the day and enter the school by the door nearest to their classrooms. Should you arrive at school after 8.50am please go to the front entrance.
A typical school day at Lime Academy Watergall:
8:45am: Registration and Morning Work
9:00am – 10:30am: Core Subjects (Reading, Writing or Maths)
10:45am – 11:00am: Break
11:00 am – 12:00pm Core Subjects (Reading, Writing or Maths)
12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch
1:00pm – 3:00pm Foundation Subjects e.g. History, Geography, Art, Science etc.
3:00pm – 3.25pm: Assembly
3:25pm: End of the school day
Attendance Matters
Children must be educated between the school term after their 5th birthday and the last Friday in June in the school year they turn 16 years old. As a parent/carer it is your responsibility to ensure that your child gets a full-time education that meets their needs. You can send your child to school or educate them yourself.
There are 185 days in a school year, leaving 180 days to spend on family time, shopping, appointments and other things. Our aim is for all children to achieve 100% attendance.
