Modern Foreign Languages
The Lime MFL Curriculum is school specific.
As a Trust, we recognise the importance of learning a foreign language and how it provides an opening to other cultures. From Year 3 onwards, pupils study French.
CUSP is used to deliver MFL lessons of the highest quality, providing step by step instructional videos to support the delivery and enhance the skills of the learners.
Pupils are introduced to new vocabulary and expressions through a series of fun games, songs and stories.
Within the Trust, languages are taught practically, engaging pupils with opportunities to orally rehearse.
The teaching of French/Spanish enables learners to express their ideas and thoughts in another language and to understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing.
Language teaching provides the foundation for learning further languages. As a Trust, we have a high number of learners who are bi-lingual, giving them a positive platform for learning further languages, therefore equipping them to study and work in other countries.
