On Thursday, Year 2 went on a very exciting trip to Woburn Safari Park! This term they have been learning all about the Savannah and it was fantastic to see some of the amazing animals that they have been reading and writing about. They had a coach safari trip and saw the lions, antelope, giraffes, elephants and rhinos. A lovely lady from the safari park told us lots of interesting facts about the animals.
They also had a talk where we were able to touch zebra, cheetah and snake skins and talked about how they were different for different animals because they had different jobs to do: snakeskin had to be able to grip tree branches; zebra skin was very tough to protect from predators and cheetah’s had spots to hide them from the herbivores that they hunted.
It was a lovely day and they all had a great time.
