On Friday, Year 5 completed their DT unit around structures. Earlier in the week, they had looked at different types of joints to strengthen and stabilise structures. They then applied that knowledge today by cutting wood using saws to create a frame with gusset plates and then designing and building our own shelter for the characters in our story, Brightstorm.
